THEOFILOS KLONARIS (*1964) is a dealer in modern and contemporary art and an art advisor to private art collectors. He is also an exhibition organizer and an art-catalogues writer. Prior to opening his own art advisory firm KunstTachometer in 2005, Klonaris was between 1999 and 2003 in a commercial gallery partnership in Germany and Spain, where he spent over five years developing and managing the gallery‘s art advisory businesses. Before opening KunstTachometer Palma de Mallorca he was there for 2 years the art director of ArtForum. Klonaris most important curatorial projects were Reflexion – Position VI, a 2004 exhibition about artists who used their own art medium: Siegfried Anziger, George Condo, Axel Kasseböhmer, Andreas Schulze. He has also curated several exhibitions of contemporary art including works of Manolo Ballesteros, Eduardo Chillida, Lucien Clergue, Antonio de Felipe, Susy Gòmez, Alexej von Jawlensky, Jeff Koons, Niki de Saint Phalle, Fabrizio Plessi, Sigmar Polke, Robert Schad, Richard Serra, Antoni Tàpies, Jean Tinguely. After that, Klonaris opened for one year a public gallery in Berlin-Mitte, which has produced various group projects with works of Banksy, Alex Katz, Vik Muniz, Yoshitomo Nara, Akio Takamori, Kara Walker and many more. Klonaris has curated exhibitions or different cultural projects together with María José Corominas, Bernd Fesel (Gallery Fesel) Gérard A.
